I'm a sailor
I'm not sailing much at the moment, but this website gives you a good idea of what sailing experience I have. I have three years of experience on keelboats 42' and smaller (including a month of paid experience as a deckhand), and hold an RYA Yachtmaster Ocean qualification (the higherst-ranked skipper's licence), as well as STCW, RYA Powerboat II and RYA VHF. The longest passage that I have completed was from Cape Town to St Helena (one month long).

PROFILE
I am an independent, responsible person, dedicated to my academic and sailing interests. My keelboating log stands at 5800 nm, 91 days and 164 night hours (as of 21 July 2014), which includes 15 keelboat regattas, two of which are the prestigious Lipton Challenge Cup. Apart from an intensive four-month sailing course at the Two Oceans Maritime Academy, I have been in a position as a skipper when taking my parents on chartered yachts in the Mediterranean on two occasions. I was introduced to sailing at school on dinghies – I have taken part in 40 dinghy regattas, mostly on either a Laser or a 420. A total of 18 weeks of training and 17 weeks of leisure sailing on dinghies have been logged.
